Is there a minimum investment amount?

The minimum investment amount required to open a CI Digital Wealth account is $100. This can come from new deposits from your bank account, or a transfer from an existing investment account, or both.
The reason for this minimum is to make sure we can diversify the portfolio appropriately across a number of different investment categories.
- If you're investing less than $50,000 in your CI Digital Wealth account, we'll recommend a portfolio typically consisting of a single diversified investment fund that we consider suitable for you.
- If you’re investing more than $50,000 in your account, we'll recommend a portfolio which might include two or more investment funds that we consider suitable for you.
- It's required to meet the portfolio minimums before your money is invested in the recommended portfolio.
