What is Data Portability?

The right to portability allows any person to obtain communication, in a structured and commonly used technological format, of computerized personal information that they have provided to a public body, for example during the electronic provision of services.

A person may request access to their personal information for their own use with the aim, in particular, of keeping it in a private storage space or of communicating it to a third party of their choice.

How can you access your data?

Under the Profile section → Security → Data Portability, select Generate Portable Data File

Once this has been clicked, the .csv file containing your personal information collected during the onboarding of your account(s) will be generated and dropped in your Documents section.

Please note that after the request is generated, a new file will be able to be generated only if your Profile section information has been updated for the reported fields. If no updates have been submitted, you will be directed to review the existing file.

Due to the sensitive nature of this file it should be handled carefully and only be downloaded if needed. Securing the file using a password or other encryption method once received is highly recommended.

Inaccurate information?

If you notice any inaccurate information on your report, start by updating the relevant details in your profile on your Dashboard. Once you’ve made the updates, submit a new request to ensure the report reflects the corrected information.
